THE BIGGEST REUNION YET

15 August 2006

We have just returned from baby Jack's christening in Scarborough - which was a milestone in the family history. But it was also the reason for the biggest family reunion so far. Over this weekend we have had Audrey, Betty, Carol, Doreen, Irene and Ronnie all together for the first time ever. With spouses and offspring and many other relations and friends, this was a massive gathering. Everyone had a wonderful time and I met a host of new nephews and nieces for the first time. We've got the taste for this now and we're going to have another reunion up here over the August Bank Holiday weekend - it won't be as big, but it will help to keep the family together. As soon as I get the chance, I'll be adding some pictures to this journal and to the website, so anyone reading this will get a better idea of what the family is really like. We're looking forward to the press reports and we hope that George might read them and get in touch - he still hasn't responded to our letter, but he may be on holiday so we're still hopeful. Watch this space !!!
