GEORGE

We are bitterly disappointed that George has not responded to our contact through Traceline. It is very sad that he seems not to want to be found. Of Doreen's eight siblings, six responded as soon as they got our message, one is yet to be found and George has been located but has not answered. We will have to learn to live with that, and to respect his wishes, but at least we know that he is alive and well. It's a pity though; Irene is coming up from Derbyshire this weekend and it would have been wonderful to have him here too. We hoped that, like Ronnie, he was just on holiday and his reply was delayed. But, as time passes, that is becoming increasingly unlikely and we have to accept the inevitable. We hope he has asked Traceline for our letter and then he will have our contact phone numbers so that if he changes his mind in the future, he can still get in touch.
