After all these weeks, the Daily Mail wants to run the story. I can't quite believe that they are for real after going to such expense, then dropping it. I don't know quite why they have changed their minds, but then we are coming into the silly season when there is no real news and pages need to be filled. I hope that they will print it this time but I won't hold my breath. We were badly disappointed when they dropped it before and trust follows experience so I will believe it when I see it in print. However, a national newspaper represents enormous coverage and that is what we need to help us find the others. After a week, we have still had no response from George and Irene BUT, it is the holiday season and they may be away from home. We have not yet given up hope, and - we hope - they will still respond to the letter Doreen sent them. After all, Ronnie was in California when we wrote to him and he didn't reply for three weeks. So, hope springs eternal, and we can wait - however painful and anxious the wait may be. Doreen has received a text message giving her this news; I hope it is genuine and not a cruel hoax.
