Now is the time for quiet reflection. We appear to have hit another brick wall, with no success at all and no promising leads. The biological father that I found in Jersey appears to have disappeared and nothing is forthcoming; maybe he saw the GMTV programme and doesn't want to be located. Betty and Barbara have gone very quiet and I think we must have upset them. But, whatever their reasons, Doreen has the right to find her siblings and so we press on. At the moment, no one even seems to want to answer my E-mails and I am getting frustrated but I want to step back and take a detached look at the situation. I think we have to make a target of one of the siblings and just go for it, but I'm the outsider here and I have to go along with what Doreen and her found siblings want to do. I have E-mailed Georgina Horton regarding the Daily Mail's apparent reluctance to follow through on the story. She seems to think that they will still go ahead, but if they don't, I want a release from the contract so that we can seek publicity elsewhere - and I have told her so. I think I am going to have to remind her of that because another week has passed and there is still no story.
GMTV was a great success and it may be that that is the way forward. It is very hard to be tied by the Daily Mail when we could be going to other sources.
Whatever happens, I am determined to see it through and make sure we find the three remaining siblings
